Aircraft Maintenance General Manager

Unique Skills:
Previous experience managing aircraft maintenance or a repair station strongly preferred.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Eight (8) years of progressively responsible management/supervisory experience. Must have demonstrated leadership ability and possess strong communication skills.
Airframe and Powerplant or pilots license preferred.

Manages the overall operation of facility activities and services to ensure safety and corporate profit goals are met. Develops and maintains effective controls for budgets, Client, schedules, procedures and policies to achieve maximum utilization of all resources.

1. Manages the development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures necessary to achieve an effective organization. Reviews performance of departments and takes timely corrective action to resolve deficiencies.
2. Oversees the development of Service Center management team which meets or exceeds approval aircraft practices and standards. Trains and motivates the management team and other support staff for effective implementation of assigned functions.
3. Ensures that customer schedules are met. Replies to customer complaints and provides follow-up to bring resolution to enhance customer satisfaction.
4. Prepares operating budgets and ensures that facility's expenditures are being properly managed within budgets.
5. Promotes high standards for quality control and safety.
6. Develops and administers annual financial forecasts and departmental budgets to include non-salary and fixed budgets. Monitors and controls cost/expenses and other resources to ensure cost effectiveness.
7. Has direct supervision of department managers and support staff. Makes decisions to hire and promote. Conducts performance appraisals and makes personnel decisions as required.
