Employee Compliance Analyst

Position Overview:
  • Candidate is expected to monitor, investigate, review and approve Personal Employee Trading Accounts and Trade Requests
  • Review Political Contribution requests as well as perform surveillance of Employee accounts to detect potential insider trading, market abuse, and/or violations of the Firm's Trading Policies
  • Review high volume of employee trading alerts flagged as potential violations of the Employee Trading Policies via Actimize Case Manager. Apply knowledge of industry and policies to each and every alert to determine if there is a potential violation
  • Review and approve employee requests for Outside Business Interests, Private Investment Transactions, Brokerage Accounts and Political Contributions
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly key metrics pertaining to Jacksonville Employee Support Group activities
  • Escalate and communicate clearly, both in writing and orally, with peers and Manager regarding issues encountered, questions and any data irregularities
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Employee Compliance, Related Policies and Key Operating Procedures The Compliance Associate must regularly review the relevant policies and participate in group trainings/discussions regarding the application of the policies
  • Ability to develop criteria for gathering of business requirements for related projects, review functional requirements, participate in project meetings, perform user acceptance testing, manage post implementation issues and system enhancements
  • Establish and maintain close collaborative working relationships with all department key business partners
  • Other work activities related to the position, such as:
    • Participate and contribute to department-wide initiatives as appropriate
    • Work with Manager to evaluate current monitoring systems for efficiency and controls
    • Help to train new staff
Required Skills:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to communicate issues to Senior Management in an effective manner
  • The ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines with no loss of accuracy
  • An understanding of the legal and compliance issues of complex banking organizations
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and teamwork awareness
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical, analytical and creative thinking skills to determine if there is a potential violation
  • Able to work independently and within a team setting
  • Analytical with an investigative mind-set
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Proactive in approach to tasks & responsibilities
