ENGINEER -This individual is a Telecommunications Professional and must be capable of engineering routine and specific outside plant work orders, both distribution and feeder. Must be capable of providing administrative and field support to the outside plant work forces. 5-7 years of experience
Individual to work in Client geospatial system(s) to verify, approve, and create new network fiber path from preliminary and as-built designs provided by our construction teams. Creating the fiber paths is critical to keep network market records updated and clean. Individual will also assign fiber to support customer orders and internal applications.
Geospatial Design Engineer
Individual will work independently and as a team to create newly constructed and existing nework fiber paths in our geospatial system(s). Individual will review designs from our construction vendors and verify as sound or make recommendations for re-route. As internal and customer orders are received for fiber usage, individual will review requests, assign fiber and route properly route orders for completion.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
* Associates degree or equivalent experience in geospatial environment
* Strong Computer Skills (Databases, Processes, and Administrative)
* Comprehensive knowledge and skill for more complex applications to include ArcGIS, 3-GIS, AutoCAD, Visio, Excel, Word, Excel, and Microstation,
? Detail oriented, well organized, and effective in multi-tasking.
? Capable of working independently to achieve deliverables and resolve urgent/complex issues.
? Demonstrates knowledge of engineering principles within OSP job related functional area to include general practices, procedures and industry standards.
? Experience with working application of engineering systems and databases.
* BA in Geosciences
* Associates degree in Geospatial Systems minimal, with desired BA in Geosciences
