Hello, this is a heads-up on an opening for a Cloud Implementation Manager needed to join a project that is kicking off with Kraft Heinz that will design and bring to market a personalized meal planning system leveraging the Kraft Heinz Nutritional and Recipe Library and media publications. Your skills are needed to define and Manage the Cloud and DevOps groups responsible for building out and evolving personalized meal planning system once launched. As a member of the team, you will collaborate with other data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and product owners to design to develop personalized meal planning solution. You will install, configure, perform software upgrades and maintenance, and complete other tech-related projects on a platform you design. You will also have responsibility for maintaining system availability and resolving daily incidents. Horizon Technology Partners has an immediate opening for an experienced Cloud Implementation Manager. Your skills are needed to Manage the Cloud and DevOps groups responsible for building out and evolving personalized meal planning system once launched. As a member of the team, you will collaborate with other data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and product owners to design to develop personalized meal planning solution. You will install, configure, perform software upgrades and maintenance, and complete other tech-related projects on a platform you design. You will also have responsibility for maintaining system availability and resolving daily incidents.

 

Location/Duration:

- Work location(s) – Based out of downtown Chicago (AON Center)

- Duration of assignment – 4/2 to 12/24/18 (w/ potential for full time)

- Typical anticipated hours per week/schedule - 40

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Consulting with internal stakeholders to understand technical needs, analyzing solution options and making a recommendation based upon your knowledge and experience

- You have a knack for picking up new technologies quickly and the ability to apply concepts learned in other technologies and frameworks to those new platforms.

- Administer and maintain multiple infrastructure domains on Cloud (AWS/Google/Azure)

- Worked with a development team(s) to drive efficiencies or develop solutions

- Ensured continuous health of systems through monitoring/alerting tools once application is launched

- Setup backup and replication jobs, verify success and conduct regular testing

- Created and updated scripts to automate manual processes

 

Experience and Knowledge:

- 5-7 years of experience in leading large-scale projects / implementations on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (preferred)

- Deploying high-volume consumer apps

- Google Cloud Certified

- Strong communication skills

- You have some experience or have even mastered mobile technologies.

- Strong knowledge of networking and virtualization, certification or equivalent skillset in a cloud environment

- You have front-end development experience: HTML5, JavaScript/ JQuery, CSS

- Experience with Angular, node.js and templating engines like Handlebars, Ninja, or equivalent

- You have worked with, and are proficient with Python ORMs; MVC pattern and frameworks; Rest API architecture, Postgres SQL and/or NoSQL databases like Cassandra (preferred) or Mongo

- Mobile app development experience helpful but not required

- Strong data engineering background with prior experience in large-scale distributed data processing platforms such as Kafka, Spark, Kinesis

- Solid understanding of backups, monitoring and security best practices

- Strong knowledge of HTTPS and load-balancing

- Working knowledge and experience in disaster recovery and best practices

- Experience with Linux operating systems a plus

- Experience with public cloud offerings and working in hybrid cloud architectures

- Minimum of Bachelor degree preferably in MIS or equivalent IT field experience required.

 

Skills needed:

- Strong communication skills

- Excellent communication and documentation skills are a must

- Ability to multitask, while still meeting ticket and project deadlines

- Lead projects working across multiple disciplines in order to produce results

- Experience orchestrating the deployment of infrastructure through scripting technologies
