Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a Protocol Support Lead . Protocol Support Lead that can integrate tightly into a fast-paced Government team at Army Futures Command in Austin, Texas. This position requires a Protocol Support Lead who can assist in the coordination of  official visits, ceremonies, conferences and special events. Engagements will be with the full range of participants, including horizontal and vertical headquarters staff, Congressional, civilian industry and academia leaders, heads of state, Civilian Aides to the Secretary of the Army, and other VIPs and staffs.

This work is expected to be accomplished in Austin, Texas with potential infrequent local travel.
Tasks may include:

• Ensure that the customer follows all ceremony, policies, procedures, protocol and etiquette required for a Four Star Army Command. 
• Responsibility for database management (Command master invitees and gifts) and assisting with the management of the official gift locker. 
• Maintaining lists for venues (restaurants, bars, social clubs and 4 or 5 star hotels), rentals (vehicles, chairs/tables, etc), and maintaining reasonably current pricing data for catering companies.
• Familiarity with DoD database tools
• 5-10 years of experience with the DoD
• One year of specialized experience which includes planning, requesting resources, and implementing high level military and civilian visits, training, conferences, and functions that support the command. Making arrangements for security, flag support, food, tours, lodging, special cultural arrangements, etc.
• Ability to speak clearly in front of an audience
• Detail oriented
• Ability to write clearly and concisely
• Skills in planning and execution
• Perform work within tight deadlines
• Make decisions quickly and independently
High school diploma or GED
Desired: Certified Protocol Specialist, or similar certification
MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD CLEARANCE ; this will be verified prior to interview. Therefore, only US Citizens can be considered for this position.
