eCommerce Technical Architect
Location: New York, NY
Type: Fulltime, contract or Right-to-hire
eCommerce Technical Architect to lead development projects across all project life-cycle phases based on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform (formerly Demandware). Technical Architects manage technology teams and typically coordinate with other discipline leaders (creative, UX, optimization, etc.) to deliver successful programs. The eCommerce Technical Architect will also work with clients' IT and business stakeholders to design enterprise-wide solutions.

• Launch omni-channel (online, mobile, tablet) eCommerce solutions based on Salesforce Commerce Cloud technology for multi-channel retailers, luxury brands, consumer goods, and branded manufacturers
• Design and implement payment-processing eCommerce solutions that integrate industry-standard OMS, CRM, WMS, and 3PLs
• Demonstrate complete understanding of the overall project, with the ability to provide input and direction to team members across all disciplines to deliver successful eCommerce solutions
• Translate the client's business requirements into systems design
• Work with the client's business, marketing, and IT departments to advocate for a technology stack/solution and tiered architecture/concepts, and influence client technology leadership based on recommendations
• Serve as technical advisor and problem solver to clients and partners to assist them in optimizing eCommerce product suites that define, build, and deploy eCommerce and self-service applications
• Manage a team of technical resources, and estimate time frames and quality/quantity of resources required to successfully implement projects
• Lead the diagnosing and troubleshooting of issues that span across multiple systems, teams, and vendors
• Set up and manage a complete development environment, including set-up, builds, deployment, source control, and continuous integration
• Select, specify, and advocate the programming language and tools for a project based on client requirements and environments
• Performance-tune entire applications and related layers such as the database
• Foster code reuse, maintainability, and consistency across multiple team members and / or projects, and determine the approach in handling code branching and merging
• Oversee the production of client-ready documentation for projects, and produce them in the style of Isobar templates when no templates are available
• Demonstrate an ability to mentor colleagues in the technology discipline
• Active in determining preferred frameworks and tools across the Isobar technical community
• Educate colleagues across disciplines on the technical and delivery aspects of projects based on Salesforce Commerce Cloud technology
• In addition to billable client work, assist with pre-sales and sales opportunities, including RFP responses, architecture assessments, and technical qualifications

Required Experience / Skills
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science or a related field
• 5+ years' experience in systems integration/development and package implementation
• 2+ years' experience integrating third-party OMS, CRM, and 3PLs, integrating branded content sites, and using Salesforce Commerce Cloud's SiteGenesis platform to implement brand agencies' creative designs
• Experience with common open APIs (Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, etc.), keeping a focus on strategic uses as well as technical knowledge
• Hold the "Architecting Digital Commerce Solutions in Salesforce Commerce Cloud” certification
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, and the ability to socialize the company brand
