As a member of the Situational Awareness Engineering team, Engineer will design, build, deploy, operation team specific dashboards, monitors, alerts.

  • Work with fellow team members and other IT teams to design, build, deploy, and maintain operational dashboards and reports
  • Work with application and technology owners to bring them into the Situational Awareness environment
  • Work with project managers, engineers, administrators, and customers to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop documentation for requirements, operational policies, and procedures
  • Develop documentation to deploy monitoring tools to the data center and application operations teams
  • Encourage an environment of sharing and teamwork among SAE teams

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years' experience with monitoring tools and dashboards
  • Direct hands-on experience MoogSoft AIOps would be a plus.
  • Understanding concepts of N-Tier architectures
  • Expert in scripting languages including JavaScript, Selenium, Python, and other common scripting environments
  • UNIX experience
  • Understanding of monitoring topologies and best practices
  • Good oral and written communications
  • Strong team player with end-user focus
  • Familiarity working within project management methodologies like agile and waterfall.
  • Proactively recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness
  • Proactively identify troublesome trends as they develop; analyze/predict trends and develop a long-range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring; maintain high service levels for the IT community
  • Ensure a stable enterprise wide environment and review high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
  • Experience in evaluating and explaining problems or situations; root cause reporting
  • Experience in effectively communicating with a broad base of end users
  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
  • Good judgment and analytical skills; strong follow-up and organizational skills
  • Experience in Airline industry is highly desired
