Description
Position Description This position is responsible for network engineer services including technical support, planning, forecasting, designing, project management, installation, monitoring and maintenance of the converged data/voice network. In coordination with the Network Operations, Enterprise Data Center, and Information Security Architects and Engineers, the PMO Network Engineer will also investigate and develop bid packages in support of solicitation of vendor bids, as well as involvement and coordination with vendors in deployment efforts and transition of project to operational teams. NetOps is in need of a F5 expert to assist with an upgrade of our existing F5 appliances. The candidate will need to have experience upgrading F5 appliances to include: ? BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) ? BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM) ? BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM) ? BIG-IP DNS (formerly BIG-IP GTM) ? BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM)
Skills Required ? Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, staff and equipment vendors. ? Knowledge of secure network switching/routing and layer 1 cabling. ? 8+ Years experience as a Network Engineer * Knowledge of research methods and techniques for networking solutions. ? Skills in the design and configuration of information technology systems. ? Knowledge of principles of business system analysis, including the analysis of procedures, equipment and methods. ? Ability to quickly evaluate and resolve customer problems directly with customers. ? Ability to analyze, interpret and present research findings ? Ability to analyze specifications and design documents. ? Ability to conceive a variety of solutions to functional problems and to reduce abstract ideas to easily understood procedures. ? Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, vendors and users is crucial F5 Expertise The candidate will need to have experience upgrading F5 appliances to include: ? Experience Preferred
Education Required ? A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience with wide and local area networks including experience with common-carrier data network. ? An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and job-related experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.

Additional Information This is expected to be a two month project. It will require after hours implementation and next business day support. Looking for a strong Senior Network Engineer that has the preferred F5 qualifications/expertise.
