Detailed Job Description and responsibilities. Include qualification requirements i.e. education, certifications, years' experience, end client, industry or vertical knowledge, specific tools or software, top 3 skills and "must haves” vs. "nice to haves”. Required skills:
Years of experience: 5 years supporting Windows Servers as OS System Administrator
Assist in the design, testing and implementation stages of Windows projects.
Configuration and installation of all server hardware, including installation of the operating system and third party products onto the system.
Act as a technical expert and advisor on Windows.

Education, Experience and Skills:
Working knowledge of:
1) Windows Administration, Clustering, Monitoring, Troubleshooting, Migration & Upgrade on:
- Active directory and Windows based domains
- Group Policy
- DNS, DHCP servers
- Mail servers (MS Exchange)
- Antivirus solutions (Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro etc.)
- Backup solutions (Symantec backup exec, ArcServe etc.)
- TCP/ IP and Networking basics.
2) Client, IBM and Dell hardware including Blade servers.
3) SAN storage environments.
4) VMWare

Nice to have skills:
   Education requirements: Two year degree

•  Support problem and change tickets for client servers. This involves problem determination and implementation of changes to hardware and/or software. This position provides intermediate to advanced levels of support. Tasks are not standardized and require independent thought and problem solving to resolve.
•  Work to standardize repeatable tasks and steps within a team while providing coaching and mentoring to the junior team members. This may require creating documentation or scripts that can be used to solve the same problem in the future. Interaction with other teams is often required to solve issues.
•  Team members participate in daily cadence discussion on issues or challenges, and receive trouble-shooting input /advice from other team members.
•  Position is onsite at customer location in Reston, VA - Monday through Friday during day shift
