The duration of this role is dependent on your ability to uncover opportunities for business development, meet new opportunity quotas, and gain an intimate understanding of our company and the industry we serve. Longer term, those who are successful in the Sales Development Representative role will have an opportunity to move into full time sales roles, e.g. Account Executive.
Generate new opportunities for our shared fundraising enablement software solution to higher education institutions in the United States.
?In collaboration with sales representatives, help identify, research and create strategies to successfully engage target accounts and contacts
?Proactively call into prospective customers to learn about, understand, and uncover sales opportunities
?Utilize a consultative sales approach by asking appropriate questions seeking to understand the prospective customers' business
?Utilize SalesForce.com to accurately track progress and share updates on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
?Collaborate with marketing to execute targeted campaigns and effectively pursue leads generated through these campaigns.
?Document effective techniques and stories that assist in generating opportunities
?Meet all performance metrics as defined by the Vice President of Sales
?Perform other duties and projects, as assigned
?Proven results and strong desire to meet and exceed goals
?Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
?Strong organizational and prioritization skills
?Some prior sales experience preferred
?Excellent interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills
?Self-motivated individual, with strong follow up skills, who enjoys client contact
