Business Process Analyst

Summary
The business process analyst role is to improve existing processes and systems while seeking
opportunities to develop and implement new processes and systems to both support and achieve
organizational goals.
Working as a member of the Business Process Excellence team, the analyst will work closely with
business stakeholders identifying opportunities to improve process efficiencies and overall
operational effectiveness of workforce. The analyst must be a self-starter, an advocate
of change, possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be willing to act as a liaison
across all functional teams.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Openly engage all business units to understand existing and future business goals and provide
leadership and tactical guidance for process improvement initiatives
Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes
Analyze process, data and work instructions to prepare and deliver reports, recommendations,
or alternatives for improving processes
Perform cost-benefit and return on investment (ROI) analysis for proposed changes to aid
management in making tactical decisions
Establish impact and scope criteria of expected changes to define and identify issues, risks
and mitigation
Develop business strategies for implementing changes of existing or new to processes
Systems Acquisition & Deployment
Assist in conducting research of software and hardware products to justify recommendations
and to support purchasing efforts
Assist in developing RFPs for vendor and systems selections
Collaborate in the planning, design, development, testing and deployment of new or existing
systems
Create business process models, specifications, diagrams, and flow charts to provide direction
to system programmers
Develop written work streams, test case scenarios, user training guides and work aids
Change Management
Develop, standardize, and maintain new or improved processes based on findings and
analysis
Coordinate and perform in-depth interviews, meetings and work-shops for current and future
state processes improvements
Question and challenge stakeholders on their assumptions of how to best improve processes
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources for improvement
recommendations
Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications to all stakeholders to
ensure issues and solutions are agreed to and understood by all impacted business units
Liaise with various business groups in the organization to facilitate implementation of new or
improved business processes
Manage individual projects, assessing and negotiating resource needs, defining timelines, and
ensuring overall budget adherence
Develop post implementation guidance for cadence activities to ensure improved or new
process are followed

Education and Experience Requirements
BS or Masters in Business/Finance, Industrial Engineering
A strong analytical and background is preferred
2-3 years of experience in process re-engineering
Knowledge and experience with new product development, sales and marketing, engineering
and supply chain logistics is preferred
Consumer products/goods experience highly desirable
