We seek a Senior Manager of Credit & Collections to join a new subsidiary of a $4B+ company in Coconut Grove, FL (think Miami).  The Senior Manager of Credit & Collections role is a high-level contributor role and will implement ways to strategically used credit to drive revenue.

The Senior Manager of Credit & Collections must have large enterprise experience, we prefer $1B but anything north of $200M is acceptable.

Job Responsibilities
 
  • Maintain and update as needed- Corporate Credit and Collections guidelines to provide standard operating policies for all branch locations.
  • Formulate and implement new strategies as needed to mitigate AR risk, improve collections and reduce bad debts and DSO.
  • Review and update subsidiaries’ Credit Directors on latest provisions and changes to States’ lien laws, Private and Public (Miller Act) Payment and Performance bonds, and Notice provisions
  • Monitor monthly collection of receivables, extension of credit, review of credit limits and overall AR portfolio performance
  • Identify key high-risk accounts and develop collection strategies to secure AR debt while keeping clients
  • Utilize a self-designed weekly AR dashboard report for all CE Regions to focus collection efforts where most needed and drive improved AR metrics.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports & presentations
  • Re-evaluate collection efforts of outside agencies and attorneys to insure acceptable collections results at competitive rates
  • Negotiate and manage corporate contracts with Merchant Services Providers, D&B, Equifax, Cortera, credit insurance, and other third-party service providers.
  • Working knowledge required to maintain operational stability of other initiatives that were implemented to improve cash flow and the customer experience (i.e. “Convenience Fee” payment channel, remote deposit opportunities, Electronic Bill Presentation and Payment programs)
Qualifications
 
  • BA/BS Degree
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in upper level credit management
  • Advanced Excel Skills
 
Highly Desirable Expertise
  • Credit Card processing, Interchange rates, PCI Compliance, latest payment processing methodologies including EMV, NFC, Mobile payments, etc.
  • AR Credit Insurance
  • Membership in professional Credit/Collections organizations such as National Association of Credit Management (NACM) and Credit Research Foundation (CRF);
  • Professional Credit Designation awarded by NACM such as Certified Credit Executive (CCE), CBF or CBA
