ARC Group has an immediate opportunity in sunny Jacksonville, FL for a Web Visual Designer. This project is initially projected to run through March 2019 with strong potential to be extended.

Job Description:

The Graphic Designer / Digital Media Specialist uses their artistic skills and design principles to conceptualize and create aesthetically appealing content for video and web. An innovative and elevated design style is necessary, as is the ability to effectively manage projects and tight deadlines. The designer must have strong communication skills with the desire to collaborate with other team members and across IT. The designer must be able to balance media projects ranging in complexity from video filming and production, to designing wireframes for website creation. Staying abreast of advances in technology, style, and color in the design industry and identifying areas of application in the organization is a must.

Web Visual Designer
This position is for a visual designer who will join the Digital User Experience team for web and mobile production.

• Design, develop, and organize the creative strategy for our websites.
• Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and communicate these through storyboards, mood boards, visual design mockups, etc.
• Incorporate best-in-class design principles (Color theory, space, shape, alignment etc.) to web and mobile application concepts
• Develop and ensure continuity and adherence to design standards through wireframes, design mockups, and quality reviews
• Work with UX designers, developers, and other web designers to design and deliver exceptional assets for all online experiences
• Use responsive design techniques for use across multiple platforms
• Maintain web best practices and user experience optimization

• College education or technical training in graphic design or graphic arts
• 3-4 years of previous design experience in a professional corporate setting
• Expert understanding of web graphic design, layout, typography and iconography
• Experience selecting, creating and guiding visual content for the web (photos, advertising banners, video, etc).
• Strong sense of web design and a general understanding of the fundamentals of user experience and cross-platform compatibility;
• Experience with responsive grid systems
• Strong attention to design detail from concept through execution
• Proficient in the Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
• You will be working in agile environment. You must be comfortable managing a dynamic workload to balance priorities with deadlines to effectively meet project needs.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other members of the UX team, technical teams, and business partners.
• Strong digital portfolio. Please submit examples with application. Be prepared to show and review during an interview.

Also a plus,
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and cross-browser compatibility a plus
• Experience with mobile design (native and mobile web) a plus
• Experience with web accessibility guidelines and requirements a plus
• Knowledge of user experience best practices and interaction design a plus
