 BI Project Manager
Job Description
Defines, manages, and evaluates business plans to ensure they are operationally executable against defined strategic objectives.
Prepares comprehensive project plans, including execution plans, resource allocation plans, follow-up guidelines, assessment, and process accountabilities to achieve corporate business goals and objectives Leads and partners with cross-functional teams to develop short-term typically less than two years business plans and supporting data-driven models. Proactively monitor, manage and report on execution of deliverables.
Should be able to manage BI Project right from launch of the project from concept to delivery by managing the project and governing the overall budget Should be able to articulate and explain designs and constraints to stakeholders after understanding customer perspective
Should have strong estimation skills Excellent understanding of SDLC methodology and agile methodology.
Experience in both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies, and ability to determine recommend when each is appropriate Proactive in managing project change, risks and issues Must have skills Should have managed large scale integration project or support teams end to end Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in Business Intelligence activities, including project management and leadership responsibilities Hands-on experience with project management tools e.g. JIRA, MPP, etc.
Preferred Skills Practical knowledge of project management techniques, tools, methodologies and best practices
Great adaptability to change and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong communication and negotiation skills Proven ability to prioritize and balance different stakeholder groups
Practical knowledge of risk management techniques and quality assurance control Strong drive for action, results oriented Ability to coordinate and direct effective meetings with a variety of audiences Significant attention to detail Ability to handle multiple projects, and deal with changing priorities and ambiguity
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management Formal PM certification viz. PMP PRINCE2
