ARC Group, immediate Java/J2EE Developer opportunity!

We seek a Java / J2EE Developer with a direct client located in Atlanta, GA. This is initially starting out as a 6-9 month contract with potential to extend longer. This role can work approximately 90% remote with limited travel to the client's offices in Atlanta or Jacksonville, FL. Ideal candidates will have strong Java development experience and experience with Spring MVC along with Java Persistence frameworks to encapsulate the connection and translation to a legacy DB2 database. Due to the cerebral nature of the project, you will be expected to be a problem solver who can also produce results.

Candidates must be eligible to roll perm on the client's W2 without sponsorship or transfer of visa!

Although this is a contract position, the possibility exists that it could evolve into an FTE role. Sound good? Keep reading.

·     Bachelor's degree in computer science, data, analytics, or related field or equivalent work experience
·     6 – 10 years of experience in full life-cycle developing JEE Enterprise software
·     Developing JEE applications using the Spring Framework. This should include a  variety of spring technologies such as Spring MVC (REST), Spring Boot, etc.
·     Utilizing a Java Persistence Framework such as Hibernate or JPA. JPA is preferred.
·     Experience with an Enterprise project building framework such as Maven or Gradle
·     Lots of data driven application experience working on database applications. Preferably with some DB2 experience. Must have a good SQL and DB foundation background.
·     A good understanding of Enterprise Patterns and technologies. Enterprise Integration patterns, Microservices, etc.
·     A firm grasp on Object Oriented development and principles.
·     Able to communicate business information, technical information and developments to users and technical staff in both verbal and written form; provides or coordinates feedback to management and/or users on all open issues
·     Able to represent complex data in diagrams or through other techniques that communicate precise information to both business and technical staff
·     Experience with Amazon Web Services and deployments of ActiveMQ would be preferred. 

·     Experience with the Agile/Scrum process including tools to work in such an environment such as Jira, Confluence (Wiki), Bitbucket (or GitHub), Stride (some always on, instant messaging tool for remote teams)
·     Nice to have experience in OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, GIT Flow, AWS
