Title: Senior Instructional Designer/Communications Specialist

Location: San Francisco

Job responsibilities:
  • Develop end-user training & documentation for new business processes and implementation of ERP system: Oracle HCM (Human Capital Management)
  • Create effective training documentation, step-by-step instruction, online Help, videos, exercises, and instructor-led training materials for instructors to teach from, leveraging tools such as Oracle Guided Learning, Camtasia or Captivate, SnagIt, or WalkMe, and using templates for eLearning and instructor-led training.
  • Work with workstream implementation teams and Cross subject matter experts, and review workstream business process documentation which contains process flows, change impacts, and scripts, to produce and maintain clear and effective business process and step by step procedure documentation
  • Set up training scenarios, data requirements, business rules and end user roles in the training environment
  • Work in a team, and stay in synch with Change Management team, who will be sending out communications that link to training
  • Support strategic project communications by developing and executing communications via intranet, digital communication, email, ecards, or presentations, as part of a change management strategy that facilitates adoption of new and improved systems and processes across the organization.
  • Write training-related communications that are relevant, timely, and easy to understand, for different audiences including directors and managers, subject matter experts, power users, end users, IT and non-IT staff, and contractors
  • 4-6 years of experience creating training and/or technical writing
  • Experience using ERP HCM required
  • Experience using Oracle HCM preferred
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and software systems
  • Knowledge of instructional design; Proven experience with adult learning principles, methodologies, course design techniques, and training formats; Ability to interpret and assess training and development needs and to develop appropriate and creative responses
  • Experience creating documents (Microsoft Office), graphics (SnagIt), desktop videos (Camtasia or Captivate)
  • Experience creating instructor-led training materials
  • Exceptional project-management, prioritization and organization skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as a strong customer service orientation
  • Communication skills both orally and in writing; Experience writing communications
  • Attention to detail
