Application Developer will maintain Order Management and warehouse applications, and the integrated order fulfillment applications supporting the Catalog, Web and Retail Direct-to-Consumer business cycle.

  • Take a technical and analytical role in the discussion of requirements for existing and future business systems when requested
  • Monitors all business operations functions in the system and manages issues to resolution, delivering business continuity to the enterprise
  • Develop detail specifications to meet requirements provided
  • Build structured code to meet functional requirements
  • Unit test for functional requirements and configuration
  • Builds and maintains Implementation, Rollback, and Testing documents to ensure complete and standardized development and change control
  • Peer Reviews code for standards and project requirements for team members
  • Acts as escalation support level for all business operation functions in the defined application set and manages issues to resolution or provides direction for other Support levels to assist in resolution.
  • On a rotating basis, acts as Primary Support level on-call for all business operation functions in the defined application set and manages issues to resolution that are within scope and delegates those issues that are out of scope.
  • Collaborate with teams and supports client and operational groups to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives.
  • Assists and mentors other team members (associates and contractors) during various project lifecycle activities like detail specifications, coding, testing, etc.

  • 7-8 years of experience developing/maintaining applications in a retail environment
  • 7+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated iSeries skills with experience on at least 2 full product implementation cycles.
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting applications.
  • Experience using Commercial Ware, Knighted WMS, and Manhattan WMS or other retail order management and warehouse management software is strongly preferred.
