Job Responsibilities:
Evaluates field related wear and damage and generates repair and rework instructions that will produce serviceable components.
Designs and redesigns and evaluates mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.
Experience in design for Spur(90%) and Bevel(10%) gears and analysis.

Designs, Evaluates and improves mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs; applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
Analytical knowledge of Reliability and FEA.
Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; assembly, and installation processes.

Job Requirements:
BSME or related experience.
Must be able to present technical information and conduct equipment maintenance,
Must have Analysis, Design Skills, Stress Analysis, Technical Writing and Strong GD&T skills,

Knowledge of PowerGear software for Spur Gears and Gleason software for Bevel Gears
Proficiency in Computer Aided Design - Pro-E / Creo (Preferred) or CATIA V5
Technical skills to research and write technical reports.
Evaluates and can read and interpret mechanical blue prints applying geometric tolerances.
Thorough understanding of how to apply strength of materials, static and dynamics and tolerance studies relating to gearboxes and actuators.
5 yrs experience in MRB (Material Review Board) dispositions in the Aerospace industry.
Knowledge of aerospace specifications such as MIL standards, AMS, NAS and NASM
Understands Gear terminology AGMA, ANSI and other related gear and spline standards and knowledge.
