Healthcare Client is looking for a Sr. OBIEE Developer

Position Summary:
The Candidate will serve to augment an existing team that is using OBIEE to create reports for research and analysis. OBIEE (11g/12c) Architect position will require the interpretation and analysis of the business requirements to assist with the design, development and delivery of an OBIEE technology solution that meets the needs of the end user.
The OBIEE Developer will be responsible for the successful delivery of OBIEE reports and dashboards as well as related components. This Candidate assists the company's business user community with the new report generation and also assist them to resolve any issues (or) enhance with the existing report. The candidate should have strong SQL, OBIEE, and database design experience.
The perfect Candidate will be interacting with IT staff, business users, and company management to gather requirements from these functions and build the necessary reports in OBIEE to meet the business needs. Therefore, the candidate must demonstrate good communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in full life cycle development including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and documentation.
  • Oracle OBIEE 11g/12c Repository development.
  • Implement and modify/design the OBIEE RPD physical, business and presentation layers.
  • Collaborate with business and data owners to effectively design and develop BI reports using OBIEE.
  • Conduct report validation efforts to ensure proper data representation.
  • Manage OBIEE caching for efficient report generation.
  • Knowledge of WebLogic configuration for OBIEE application hosting.
  • OBIEE architecture and administration.
  • Provide technical support for OBIEE 11g/12c environment including production control activities, point release upgrades, and/or application software maintenance.
  • Assist development team with building test cases to accurately test all aspects of the product. Work with the testing team to ensure test plans are executed and behave as expected.
  • Provide transfer of knowledge and technical training to State IT staff in support and development of OBIEE 11g/12c.
  • Optimize OBIEE report performance.
  • Regularly communicate status on progress, problems and plans to leadership; adapt to changes in the project plan and customer requirements.
  • Ensure high quality deliverables and smooth day-to-day operations of projects.
Required Expertise:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree would be considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in OBIEE and related technologies.
  • Should have worked extensively in technologies involving Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE). Experience on Oracle PL/SQL will be an added advantage.
  • Strong database and SQL skills along with Performance tuning.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Implementing and Designing the OBIEE RPD physical, business and presentation layers.
  • 7+ years of experience with System & Data Analysis, Application Design & Dimensional and Data Modeling with Design, and Documentation.
  • Must have strong technical knowledge of OBIEE architecture, administration tools, security, dashboards, configuring dashboard, report-level security, metadata tools and user interface designs.
  • Experience with Installation and Configuration of OBIEE environment.
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle, software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, meet schedules and multi-task.
  • Outstanding oral and written communications skills in both technical and client-facing situations.
  • Must be a team player, receptive to new ideas and concepts and willing to embrace them when final determinations are made
  • Willingness to constantly teach and learn
Preferred Expertise:
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Strong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience and knowledge in Health Care Service is an added advantage.
  • Manage and track work effort against a pre-determined timeline.
  • Proactive, self-motivator and team player who works well in a collaborative environment.
  • Oracle BI certification will be a plus
