JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is looking for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer with Health Plan and Datawarehouse experience. .
Purpose of Position
The Technical Oracle PL/SQL Developer will be responsible for system analysis and application development including, but not limited to, the planning, design, implementation and maintenance. Works under general supervision.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and implement database systems based on requirements.
Transform written technical specifications into code. Generate triggers, procedures, functions and packages utilizing Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL.
Optimize database systems for performance efficiency.
Prepare and translate design specifications and functional documentations for assigned database projects.
Identify any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures.
Develop and communicate standards to application and business users.
Participate in database design and architecture to support application development projects.
Evaluate existing database and recommend improvements for performance efficiency.
Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced staff members.
Perform other duties and participate in special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline required.

Experience:
 
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience with Oracle database design and programming within Healthcare and datawarehouse required.
  • Must have extensive background in Oracle PL/SQL programming. and Control M. 
  • Must know how to tune poorly performing queries. 
  • Must be able to work with Bash/Korn shell scripts and Crontab.
  • Must have a working knowledge of SQL *Loader.
  • Background with Informatica transformations and work-flows a plus.
