Job Description
  • Our Client in Washington DC is seeking a Windows System Administrator to support the Strategic Systems Program (SSP).
  • Primary responsibilities include management and optimization of Windows Server systems.
  • The ideal candidate must possess strong problem solving skills; a high degree of technical expertise, and a commitment to exceptional customer service and teamwork.
  • Candidate must be able to meet DoD Cyber workforce requirements within 6 months of being hired.
  • Manages and plans server requirements for the program.
  • Monitors and troubleshoots access and performance issues.
  • Monitors faults, performance, and capacity issues, preparing remediation reports and documentation
  • Uses ticketing system to document requests, track changes, and explain resolutions
  • Ensures team documentation is accurate and maintained
  • Windows OS technician
  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems (Server 2008R2, Server 2012R2, Server 2016)
  • PowerShell script writing
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Skills are paramount
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Web, File and Print services
  • 5 years work experience in Information Technology
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent (required within 6 months of hire)
  • Implementation of DISA's Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter 5 and 6
  • Storage Area network experience
  • Information Technology Degree
