Client is looking for a Network and Helpdesk Support Administrator to provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk. The Network and Helpdesk Support Administrator will be responsible for administration and internal support of the client's Computers, printers, servers, and related equipment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Help Desk and Office Support
  • Providing helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user's satisfaction
  • Monitoring and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
  • Monitoring Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority
  • Modifying configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation
  • Utilizing and maintaining the helpdesk tracking software
  • Documenting internal procedures
  • Assisting with onboarding of new users
  • Ensuring each workstation has a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, and any additional specialized equipment
  • Installing test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software
  • Maintaining inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses
  • Reporting issues to the Service Desk for escalation
  • Managing Macbooks setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software
  • Assigning users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory
  • Performing timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as require
Network Support
  • Maintaining network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
  • Installing and Supporting VoIP phones.
  • Securing network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation
  • Preparing users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support
  • Protecting organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Installing and maintaining network hardware and software
  • Upgrading network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements
  • Maintenance and Support of the Meraki Wi-Fi installation
  • Maintaining integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
  • Maintaining network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
  • Monitoring networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
  • Maintaining network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of hands on experience with ticketing systems
  • 5+ years of net in a software product company
  • 5+ years of experience of helpdesk practices and providing help desk support
  • Knowledge of Server Administration servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches
  • Strong understanding of cloud and SaaS concepts
  • Basic AWS knowledge a strong plus
  • Proficient in root cause analysis/problem solving
  • Exhibit high attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teams members
  • Understanding of software development methods and methodologies is a plus
  • Fast learning skills
  • Highly collaborative
