Information Security Fraud Analyst

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of information security experience, with two or more years in threat intelligence and fraud detection. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of data security issues practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of network security, application security, programming, systems analysis procedures, database software, and Operating Systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, etc).
  • Database Experience, SQL and NoSQL preferred.
  • Good analytical, documentation, time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate complicated concepts in writing.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to evaluate information security controls and identification of potential risk.
  • Ability to work on numerous projects/activities at the same time.
  • Knowledge as a generalist or specialist of computer networking concepts and protocols, network security methodologies and how traffic flows across the network and traffic analysis methods.
  • Working knowledge of Cyber security principles used to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage and transmission of information or data, cyber threats and vulnerabilities, incident response and handling methodologies.
  • Ability to tune sensors, read, and interpret signatures.
  • Ability to assess current tools to identify needed improvements.
  • Ability to write and understand scripting languages (e.g., R, Python, HIVE, SQL, Ruby, Perl, etc.).
  • Excellent problem resolution and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Ability to work independently in a complex, sophisticated technical environment. Knowledge of Fraud use cases is required, fraud experience in the financial sector is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Social Engineering methods is required, experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Malware, particularly financial malware, experience preferred.
  • Experience in pattern identification and creating regular expressions.
  • Network traffic analysis experience.
