  • Military infrared imaging technology is advancing rapidly.
  • This is enabling the use of Client image processing algorithms to provide new benefits to the warfighter.
  • The Client is the industry leader in state-of-the art long range infrared sensor systems.
  • We are seeking a motivated and talented engineer to participate with and contribute to a development team that working on advanced image processing and computer vision algorithms and implements them in real-time military and space systems.
  • The successful candidate will combine knowledge of image processing / computer vision algorithms and real-time coding architectures to propose and develop solutions for next generation military systems.
  • These algorithms and solutions will be used across multiple Client companies.
  • ¿The candidate must be a self-starter and able to handle multiple tasks in parallel, collaborating with other engineering teams across multiple Client divisions.
  • Research and develop advanced image processing and computer vision algorithms, such as image restoration, scene segmentation, target detection, and data fusion.
  • Utilize an expertise and training in real-time coding methods, architectures and languages to implement advanced algorithms as highly optimized code in real-time processors.
  • Participate in development teams that design and implement real-time image processing for military systems.
  • ¿Teams may span multiple Client companies.
  • Assist in designing image processing system architectures and evaluating image processing algorithms.
  • Identify cutting-edge image processing or computer vision algorithms that can enhance new or existing imaging systems
  • MS in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Physics or Mathematics with 3 years experience.
  • Minimum 3 years industry and/or research experience developing algorithms for image/video processing, pattern recognition and computer vision applications.
  • Expertise in machine learning, object detection and estimation, video fusion, image restoration and scene segmentation algorithms.
  • Experience in system or computer vision modeling, simulations and algorithm performance evaluation.
  • Algorithm prototyping and performance evaluation in Matlab and/or Python.
  • Algorithm implementation in a high level language (C/C++/Java).
  • An understanding of imaging sensors in any domain – Visible, IR, UV, X-ray, CT, Ultrasound etc.
  • Experience in real-time programming, parallel and distributed computing, CUDA and VHDL.
  • Experience in Visual Studio and Qt on Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Experience with Altera or Xilinx development tools.
  • Experience in software/firmware development life cycles.
