Job Description
  • Environment Engineer who Support and execute deployment procedures and all associated activities for releases, patches, and pre- and post-deployment support for the non-production environments.
  • Adhere to established processes for change management; contribute to status reports regarding change management and deployment activities
  • Resolve deployment issues or impediments; Document resolutions for future reference
  • Provide recommendations on the tools and resources needed to perform successful deployments; coordinate and track progress of deployment teams
  • Create and maintain project build, installation, deployment scripts and documentation.
  • Perform release management (all activities related to releasing new project version: SVN, Hudson, Maven, etc.)
  • Release delivery and support in local and customer environments
  • Compose, document, deliver and support release upgrade packages
  • Maintain the virtual machines environment
  • Communicate with Information Technology (IT)cross-functional team members to stay informed about the daily status of testing environments, builds and releases; plan deployment activities in conjunction with established project timelines and test schedules
  • Fix all errors and bugs, perform root cause analysis and recommend bug fixes; collaborate with engineers to determine root causes and keep problem resolution/issues log
  • Maintain industry/technical knowledge base and facilitate/maintain industry relationships
  • Demonstrate commitment to providing customer-focused quality service
  • Support assigned systems with on-call availability and respond within agreed timeframes
  • 5+ years of demonstrated IT industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience with complex end-to-end software implementations
  • Hands-on experience with the Linux OS, shell scripting language and Websphere application server
  • Knowledge and experience with Informatica 9.1
  • Knowledge and experience with Database maintenance and configuration (Oracle)
  • Ability to create documentation related to deployment and installation procedures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders; must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
