Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical and team leadership in the design, implementation, and testing of high-performance, high-quality video communication applications for embedded Linux systems.
Deliver innovative solutions that increase application performance, usability, and fit for our target customers.
Develop and maintain low level Linux kernel code on embedded systems.
Troubleshoot hardware and driver issues.
Modify and maintain boot loaders.
Maintain and improve build tools for embedded systems.
Drive standards based architectures and supporting services.
Use of agile and rapid application development processes to speed engineering efforts.
Follow engineering best practices in a team environment to develop high-quality products including writing automated unit, component and feature level testing.
Contribute to the overall enterprise architecture and the development of product features.

Job Requirements:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience developing driver and kernel level code
5+ years of experience with multimedia applications
Significant mastery of C development
Strong Linux and device driver development and trouble shooting skills
Experience developing audio, video, HDMI, USB and network drivers
Experience in modifying and maintaining u-boot
Strong experience with the Yocto build system
Strong understanding of software algorithms, structures, and patterns
Excellent object-oriented design and analysis skills
Experience developing high-quality, multi-threaded applications
Must possess good communication skills and be eager to work in a team environment with other dedicated engineers
Positive attitude and team player
Ability to lead software engineering teams
Experience with Linux application development
