Job Description
  • The ideal candidate will come from a background of systems administration, specializing in the last 3-5 years in Identity & Access Management.
  • The Client will consider a career (8-10 years of experience) UNIX and/or Windows administrator, supporting LDAP, web servers, application servers and other apps running on these systems with a desire in making a change to specialize in the IAM field long-term, with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining an IAM system, working on projects to extend the IAM system to new applications and to utilize additional user stores.
  • The candidate will be supporting a global program as part of an experienced team of engineers and developers and will be called on to work incident tickets and participate in on-call rotation along with the rest of the team.
  • Strong customer service and advocacy skills are paramount in this role.
  • Configure an Identity Management COTS product to connect and manage a user stores accounts and attributes
  • Current working knowledge of UNIX (editing files, scripting, navigating)
  • Working knowledge of LDAP and/or Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of HTTP servers (Apache or IIS for example)
  • Working knowledge of application servers (Weblogic, JBOSS, Websphere for example)
  • Strong ethics in the context of business and information security
  • Strong English language and written communications skills
  • Organize and manage projects and tasks autonomously
  • 8-10 years overall IT experience working on a UNIX platform with a track record of increasing responsibilities
  • 3-5 years of professional UNIX systems administration experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with one or more identity & access management products
  • High-school diploma with 14 years of required skills experience OR Bachelor of Science with a minimum of 8 overall years of experience OR Masters with 6 years of overall experience
  • 8-10 years of professional experience managing software on a UNIX O/S (preferably Linux)
  • Hands-on experience with a complete suite of IAM capabilities (Identity Management, web-based SSO, identity federation and compliance/attestation)
  • Working knowledge of web services integration concepts using SOAP and REST
  • Exposure to software development in a current programming language and framework is desired
  • Current hands-on experience working on a Linux O/S
  • Working (hands-on) experience with web-based SSO and federated identity
  • A good understanding of Windows administration is desired
  • Experience integrating applications with an IAM system
  • Knowledge of web based protocols used in common identity federation themes including: SAML, OAUTH, WS*, SOAP, REST
  • Understanding of the everyday tools used in performing the IAM Engineer role
  • A background in having developed software (or scripts to automate tasks)
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, IT or an engineering discipline
