Job Description
  • The Client is committed to creating an insurance company that doesn't act like one by being simple, proactive and personal.
  • The Client is looking for a highly motivated individual with strong SAS programming and analytic skills to write code that generate output based on new and on-going analyses.
  • As a contractor who is part of the VOC Analytic team, this individual will write code to create files and reports that are used on a regular basis by the Advanced Analytics Group and others in Marketing.
  • This person may also be asked from time to time to write ad hoc queries.
  • Detailed specifications will be supplied for these ad hoc request as well as technical assistance in regards to the data used as inputs.

  • Pulling the data from BDW – using and joining data to track consumer trends

  • Preferred ways of how people want to interact with each other – insurance users
  • Policy and Customer Data Analyst
  • Write code to operationalize the output of analyses or the model building process
  • Review and clean up existing programs which were altered to accept changes to some the input data tables
  • Create programs to generate summarized tables which will speed up the analyst abilities to produce more timely analysis
  • Review tracking panels with current VOC Analytics Analyst to validate that tracking samples are adequate and identify when models need to be reviewed and possibly updated
  • Generate ad hoc queries on request
  • Troubleshoot existing programs when needed
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
  • Marketing / sales analytics or another quantitative field such as Performance
  • Strong SAS programming: Base, Macro, Enterprise Guide
  • SQL experience- Able to write SQL scripts
  • Advanced Excel and knowledge of VBA (nice to have) - programming language for Excel; Macros and formulas
  • Experience in working with big data stored in a complex relational data warehouse
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Self-managed and highly passionate about data driven Marketing
  • QC stage and documentation of modeling for IT teams
  • Working with predictive models and marketing behaviors
  • B.S. or B.A. Consulting / Finance, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar discipline degree equivalent work experience
