Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated individual to help evaluate and engineer mobile device solutions including mobile device management (MDM). The successful candidate will have the aptitude to be a brilliant problem solver and one who has excelled in both academics and professional endeavors. The Information and Communications Services (ICS) Department provides global computing resources and solutions to employees and Church members worldwide. The End User Productivity (EUP) Client-side Platforms team provides global solutions tied to the Windows, Mac and mobile client platforms (i.e. standardized hardware, core OS images, device management, virtualization, security, etc.) for Church employees, missionaries, ward and stake clerks, and local priesthood leaders worldwide. This is a contract position.
This individual works with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel.
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or comparable work experience.
  • Five years engineering experience with a minimum of 2 years' operations implementing and maintaining Android and iOS device management solutions. Experience with IBM's MaaS360 or Microsoft's InTune a significant plus.
  • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new concepts and technologies.
  • Have an attitude of "yes, we can” and a commitment to "own it.” Innate understanding that performance, reliability, stability and availability equates to achieving results.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high availability environment and can apply critical thinking skills while meeting impending deadlines.

  • Ability to work with leaders, customers, technical teams and vendors to solve critical needs.

  • Able to technically manage multiple solutions, products, projects and critical priorities as well as align to and follow standard processes to assure quality and consistency of work product.
    Responsibilities
    Candidate will primarily apply proven expertise with Android/iOS platforms to design, architect develop policies that maintain devices for the Church's Missionary Mobile initiative. Through expertise in performance analysis and service validation as well as operational procedures, the successful candidate will interact with stakeholders to fulfill requirements across a variety of infrastructure technologies as well as perform other related duties.
