Job Description
  • Working under the supervision of a more senior level engineer, and utilizing standard engineering procedures, carries out engineering assignments associated with research, design or development and manufacture of specific parts, components or minor phases of an engineering project; translates technical guidance received from supervisor into usable engineering data applicable to the particular assignment.
  • Work assignments may be varied and may include software, computer, computer os/driver research.
  • Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required as experience progresses.

  • Selects and/or modifies proven methods, mathematical formulae, previous design and/or test information, handbook data or other available information related to the assignment.
  • Prepares and completes the design of components or portions of moderately complex functional systems working from overall operational, space, functional and similar design requirements.
  • Designs or selects commercially available equipment; coordinates design results with other design groups; evaluates the merits of the design with higher skilled engineers and makes the changes as indicated.
  • Produces documentation for new products checking accuracy of technical documentation.
  • Executes tests, evaluation, and analysis under the direct supervision of higher level engineers.
  • Creates software tools, scripts, and programs within a much focused scope.
  • This will involve cross training via OJT.
  • Assists the engineering team in the management of EOL (of systems) via approved processes and finding/testing/validating fir/form/function replacements.
  • Works with other departments such as customer service, design, test and reliability engineering to analyze and solve problems.
  • Interfaces with customers on technical inquiries and troubleshooting.
  • Maintains the engineering common areas and scanner/bhs equipment therein.
  • Provides engineering support services for field and production in relation to hardware and systems level
  • Associate's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • No previous experience is required.
  • Or in lieu of degree, minimum of four (4) years experience in the design, development analysis, and/or investigation of electronic devices or systems is required.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills as well as skill in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
  • ¿Up to 20% travel per year required.
