 Description/Job Summary
Electronic Technicians act as resources to plant teams to ensure that they have the proper technical support needed to perform their day-to-day tasks. They are responsible for troubleshooting, analyzing, and repairing breakdowns or malfunctions of electrical equipment. The Senior position performs all assigned Electronic Technician duties within class to include equipment repairs, PM's, diagnostics, troubleshooting and emergency response on equipment.
 
Responsibilities/Duties
1.     Responsible to move throughout the facility, reach vertical heights up to 150' to perform repairs, PM's, and monitor equipment in both open and confined spaces.
2.     Use of vehicle to transfer self, tools and equipment, voltage meters, testing equipment, soldering equipment,  to perform and meet the electronic knowledge, skills and abilities of a "A” Electronic Technician.
3.     Performs preventive maintenance as assigned which includes but is not limited to repair, diagnostics, cleaning, lubrication, upgrading, of machinery, scales, printers, necessary computers,  etc.
4.     Have programming knowledge of PLC's, Panel view Programming, and Weight ronix Simpose rSoftware.
5.     Have the ability to diagnose and repair circuit board level repair.
6.     Be able to read and understand electronic and electrical schematic diagrams.
7.     Respond to emergency breakdowns during both on and off duty hours to ensure operations continue on a 24 hours a day basis.
8.     Generates and submits paperwork relative to work performed, such as daily work orders, parts requisitions, and any related to meetings, safety, etc.
9.     Perform all equipment repairs and daily work within OSHA regulations, lockout/tag-out, and Perdue safety book guidelines.  
10.   Communicate as necessary to all other Electronic Technicians daily issues, fixes, needed repairs, emergency repairs, as well as any needed scheduled repairs needed for weekend work. 
11.    Must be NFPA 70E, CPR and First Aid Certified.                         
 
 
Required Skills
  • at least 18 yrs of age
  • legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Reading, writing, math and analytical skills required.
  • Exposed to existing weather conditions while outside work is performed willing and able to work around dust, feathers, animals, and various cleaning chemicals
  • Must be NFPA 70E, CPR and First Aid Certified.
  • Exposed to air born dust, chemicals such as hexane, caustic soda, but a one, ethanol, aluminum chloride. 
  • Must have the ability to move through the facility and carry required equipment, tools which could weigh as much as 100lbs. 
  • Must wear required safety equipment including self-containing breathing apparatus as required.
  • Must wear FR rated clothing as required.
  • Two or more years practical experience in electronics.
Preferred Skills
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience as Industrial Electrician in Poultry industry preferred.
Required Education
  • Vocational/Technical school training in electronics/computer

Description/Job Summary
The purpose of the Class A Electrician is to maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild, adjust, perform preventative maintenance and install electrical equipment within and around the facilities, supervise class  "B”, & "C Electricians, so as to keep the production operational and have zero loss of production chargeable to electrical maintenance.  Responsible for carrying out the assigned tasks in a timely manner. 
Responsibilities/Duties
  1. Supervise and direct Class B, C Electricians in electrical installation, repair, and maintenance of all electrical equipment, machinery and plant facilities
  2. Generate work orders as necessary repairs are discovered.
  3.  Be proficient and able to repair, install and maintain control circuits and motors, three phase volts:  480 volts, 440 volts, 220 volts and 208 volts and single phase volts:  120/110 volts. 
  4. Diagnose repairs to circuit board level.
  5. Read and understand electronic and electrical schematic diagrams
  6. Respond to emergency breakdowns during both on and off duty hours to ensure operations continue on a 24 hours a day basis.
  7. Generates and submits paperwork relative to work performed, such as daily work orders, parts requisitions and any related to meetings safety, etc…
  8. Perform all equipment repairs and daily work within OSHA regulations, lockout /tag-out, and Perdue safety book guidelines.

  10. Coordinate with contractors on necessary repairs and projects
  11. Knowledge of general wiring practice per National Electrical Code.
 
Required Experience
·         3 to 5 years experience as an Industrial Electrician. 
·         Must possess knowledge of electrical motors, controls, PLC's lighting systems and general wiring methods.
·         Reading, writing, math and analytical skills required.
·         Must be NFPA 70E, CPR and First Aid Certified.
·         Exposed to air born dust, chemicals such as hexane, caustic soda, but a one, ethanol, aluminum chloride. 
·         Must have the ability to move through the facility and carry required equipment, tools which could weigh as much as 100lbs. 
·         Must wear required safety equipment including self-containing breathing apparatus as required.
·         Must wear FR rated clothing as required.
·         High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
·         Valid Driver's License.
