Description/Job Summary
This position requires the Safe operation of ammonia refrigeration systems and related equipment by adhering to the plant Process Safety Management Program. Position is required to install operate, repair and maintain all types of industrial and commercial refrigeration systems.     Make equipment repairs as required from work orders.  Be able to perform supervisor's duties when needed.    
This position is for Third Shift. 
Responsibilities/Duties
  1. Safely isolate and pump down any section of all systems.
  2. Must be able to perform line opening procedures
  3. Must be qualified to receive or transfer ammonia in all plant systems
  4. Qualified to do routine maintenance on Ammonia compressors, air compressors, ammonia liquid pumps, ammonia system controls, refrigeration system condensers, air system drying equipment and air system controls.
  5. Must have a clear understanding of refrigerant expansion with pressure temperature variables.
  6. Must be able to direct and train operators.
  7. Working knowledge of department computers.
  8. Perform tasks as assigned by management.
  9. Must be available to work overtime (including weekends) to perform Preventative Maintenance tasks during down time.
Required Experience
  • Have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: Interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, calculating, reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, mathematics, organizing and innovation. 
  • Must have at least 3 + years of experience in Industrial Refrigeration
  • High School Diploma or GED and completed training in a technical school for Refrigeration.
  • Good client/customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.

CFC/EPA Certifications
 
Required Education
High School Diploma or GED and completed training in a technical school for Refrigeration.
