MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Our client, a global healthcare company that specializes in lifesaving medicines, medical technologies, and clinical nutrition is looking for an experienced Pharmaceutical - Manufacturing Operations Director to join their team at their facility located just 30 minutes away from Chicago, IL.

The Pharmaceutical - Manufacturing Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing and directing through a staff the following areas of production: compounding, aseptic filling, component preparation, capping, inspection, and lyophilization.

*We are looking for candidates with experience in an aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Main responsibilities:
  • Establishes and controls the manufacturing processes and procedures for compounding, preparation, aseptic filling, capping, inspection, and Lyophilization.
  • Oversees the plant manufacturing activities and performance of staff to ensure the achievement of plant objectives and performance goals are met.
  • Analyzes information and reports concerning scheduling, production goals, equipment and maintenance problems and other studies or reports and makes recommendations.
  • Maintains compliance with Company policies, cGMP's, SOP's, safety standards.
  • Informs all appropriate personnel of department's plans, programs and operations that affect their areas.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelors of Science degree in related field or equivalent education required.
  • 10-20 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing in a cGMP environment required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in aseptic operations required.
  • Must demonstrate progressive levels of managerial experience.
  • Terminal sterilization and lyophilization experience required.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization and manage in a dynamic environment to meet plant and company objectives.
