Knapp Consultants is looking for the right skilled and experienced Maintenance Planner for a local Manufacturing Plant.

First Shift:  8:00 Am to 5:00 PM - some O.T. May be required.  Direct Hire.

This Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning all maintenance department scheduled activities, purchasing and stores.

Maintenance Planning
  • You will prepare daily, weekly and monthly work schedule based on available man power, needed tasks and production schedule
  • Assist supervisor in optimizing PM intervals, tasks that are key
  • you will maintain the Computerized Maintenance Systems they use
  • You must coordinate scheduling activities and planning with Supervisor and production
  • Generate and schedule work orders from PdM reports and assist in the maintenance and the analysis of the PdM reports
Inventory Management Responsibilities
  • You will be monitoring and executing the tracking, ordering, optimizing, cost analysis on a daily basis.  Pickup and delivery of maintenance parts in emergencies.  Assist Maintenance Supervisor in daily purchasing and sourcing services and associated paperwork.
Facility maintenance and subcontractor follow-up
  • You will work with and backup for Maintenance Supervisor and Project Engineering
  • You will work with Forklifts, Hoists, Fire system, Civil and structural and also Supervise maintenance employees.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Supervisor to plan maintenance activities and inventory parts to improve maintenance performance in support of production and productivity improvement goals
​Planning Contribution
  • PM contents (80%), PM & PdM scheduling
  • Technical Training and meeting schedules
  • Other planned work scheduling – provide feedback for good or poor timing & acceptance from originator
  • Assets information and records,  work with Stores (with engineering support)
  • Documents control (Legal, Quality) and Contractors control (50%)
  • Purchasing for stores & planned work and the common and special tools
  •  You will be responsible of the Technician’s vacation and time management (80% of your time)
  • Responsible for (waste reduction/cost reduction), training and documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • you must have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and strong written and verbal communication skills are key to your success
  • Good project management skills (set priorities, handle multiple projects)
  • You must ahve high standards for best practices and quality of work and you need to have and maintain a good safety record
  • Post-secondary education with technical background – electrical, PLC’s or mechanical
  • Must have 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent Software: MS Word, Excel, CAD, computerized maintenance, database
  • Knowledge of tools, machining processes, basic construction is very helpful
