Project Manager - Construction

Our client a lead provider of disaster recovery and property restoration services is looking for an experienced insurance restoration Project Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate must be proficient in project management, have mitigation or construction background, be independent and detail oriented with the ability to perform marketing activities, generate sales, write estimates using Xactimate, and produce and manage jobs. 

*Must be available to work 24/7 emergency response, outside of normal core hours. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee residential and light commercial, industrial and institutional projects.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors and insurance companies and administrative staff.
  • Attend company's sponsored operations and safety training courses.
  • Coordinate job starts and schedule appointments with customers, clients and office.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Coordinate work duties with subcontractors, field and office personnel.
  • Provide constructive feedback and direction to complete tasks on time and within budget.
  • Secure applicable municipal & DOB permits.
  • Meet with municipal inspectors & DOB as required.
  • Coordinate after-hours emergency services as directed, including board-ups, water damage, fire and smoke damage, and vandalism.
  • Perform vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years’ superintendent experience with restoration, cleaning, and/or applicable construction industries on commercial, industrial, and/or institutional projects.
  • Working understanding of Xactimate.
  • Satisfactory completion of OSHA Construction 10 hour course.
  • Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per company's vehicle policy.
  • Willing to work nights and weekends when requested as well as On Call and available for periodic travel.
  • Frequent lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Sustained periods of standing, walking, bending, an kneeling.
  • Access and mobility in tight spaces.
  • Insurance program experience as applicable.
  • Experience as a Construction Superintendent with at least $150,000 single project capability and ability to manage multiple jobs of various sizes.
  • Experience with projects after water damage, fire damage or contents damage a plus.
  • Possess sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic

  • English language literacy and fluency - bi-lingual a plus.
