SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:
Under general direction in a team environment; design, develop and deploy complete modules in our internal suite of custom applications leveraging Microsoft and/or Java technology. Responsible for gathering internal customer requirements, creating functional and technical design specifications, developing, testing and delivering solutions to our internal and external customers. Collaborate with other team members and mentor newer team members. Suggest best practices to apply across the teams. Good English communication skills required.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Technology Expertise:
  • Ability to implement solutions at the subsystem level using knowledge of the following:
  • .NET C#
  • Javascript
  • HTML / CSS
  • RESTful & SOAP Webservices
  • XML and JSON
  • T-SQL, NoSQL & SQL database servers
  • Visual Studio or Java IDE
  • Microsoft Office including VisioAzure
Functional Expertise
  • Offer recommendations regarding task scheduling or deployment for current Sprint.
  • Ability to lead customer workshops to gather and document functional requirements.
  • ability to provide detailed estimates of work effort and adjust those estimates accordingly due to changes or issues that may arise.  Recognition and incorporation of work effort from other team members into the overall work estimate.
  • Advanced knowledge of development tools as well as knowledge of plug-ins or lesser known functions of IDE.
  • Advanced knowledge and utilization of team recommended testing tools
  • Identification of both directly and indirectly impacted modules, and determination of modules that require testing.
  • Advanced code conflict resolution along with the ability to created and merge branches.
  • Ability to manually queue a build and confirm successful deployment. Ability to build entire infrastructure locally.
  • Ability to identify gaps in processes and tools.
 Leadership/Change
  • Works on problems that impact business initiative success.
  • Identification of edge case business scenarios and corresponding issue resolution.
  • Identification and resolution of recurring design issues.
  • Provide recommendations for system architecture direction and implementation.
  • Awareness of current technology in multiple domains. Capable of updating team members on the latest technology trends.
  • Demonstrates work commitment and drive for results. Sets high standards of performance; pursues aggressive goals and works hard to achieve them.

  • Capable of presenting ideas to larger groups of people (group size > 10) that may incorporate Subject Matter Experts from the business and IT Business Analysts.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or related experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in the related field.  Broad based background in application design and development.
