Candidate must have strong communication skills

This role will be responsible for infrastructure engineering within Hybrid Cloud environments. This role will work closely with architecture, security and operations roles to design, implement and automate the deployment and configuration of Storage & Backup environments. Key responsibilities include engineering and continuous improvement of key platforms such as S3 and CommVault and will include definition of configuration specifications, security hardening specifications, monitoring & logging integrations as well as provisioning templates and automation workflows.

• Deep knowledge and working experience engineering or implementing storage and backup solutions such as CommVault, NetApp, EMC Elastic Cloud Storage, etc.
• Solid understanding of operational recovery and disaster recovery techniques and strategies.
• Working knowledge and experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) capabilities such as IAM, EC2, EBS, EFS, S3, Route 53, VPCs, CloudWatch, etc. (AWS Certifications a Plus)

• Solid understanding of storage communication protocols.
• Working experience with one or more of the other following technologies: o Enterprise Virtualization: (vCenter, vSphere, vSAN, NSX) o Operating Systems: Windows 2012/2016 and Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x/7.x) o Scripting: Ansible, PERL, PowerShell, Python, Shell
• Experience automating and orchestrating the provisioning or configuration of application and infrastructure services and capabilities.
• Capable of writing code to integrate and automation components through use of APIs.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts, technologies and design/integration points. Must be familiar with software defined networking concepts.
• Strong working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, testing techniques and approaches.
• Must be detail oriented, organized and have the ability to multi-task.
• Must be flexible with a "can do” attitude and have the ability to remain professional under high pressure situations. "
