WFH: Very flexible with WFH. 50% WFH, 50% ITRC with occasional work at the plant or possible travel. Must be local or within driving distance a few days a week.

Overview
This will be a network engineer with very strong project experience including some provider experience. We are one of the only teams in IT doing boots on the ground work. Wants someone who can do networking engineer side of things but also has good solid project experience. Need someone who knows how to sit down with someone and can do design elements and project tracking
Job Description:

• Provides structured, managed, dependable, secure and cost effective network and telecommunication infrastructure and services for all Group locations in the Americas region.
• Provides advanced regional support for LAN, WLAN and WAN technologies (Ethernet, Frame Relay, routing and switching, VLANs, Fiber channel, Sonnet, Voice and Data convergence, video technologies etc).
• Develops and aligns Network Community strategies within the Group strategies, and interfaces with internal and external business partners (subsidiaries, plants, suppliers).
• Project manager for new network and telecommunication infrastructure installations.
• Single point of contact to external network carriers and providers.
• Analyzes management tools for configuration, documentation and monitoring of network systems in the Americas region.
• Experience working with advanced network and telecommunication systems.

Position Competencies:

• Education:BA/BS in Information Technology OR equivalent of 4 years of related experience in Information and Networking Technology.
• Experience:5+ years of professional experience in Information Technology (including 2 years of supervisory experience related to the project management and implementation of local and wide area networks).
• Licenses and/or Certifications:Cisco Certified Network Professional required

Skills

• This person with liaison with different parts of the organization.
• The goal is to have someone who is the project interface to all of the teams initiatives but technical enough not to make mistakes.
• Project skills are very important.
• This person will get initiatives from the business side and need to know what network requirements are needed and keep the IT team in sync on all the initiatives for 60 locations in 5 countries.
• WAN, Datacenter and LAN is sufficient.
• Nice to have: The ability or want to travel. When we are doing network deployments in the region if this person was comfortable with assisting with travel for the team that would be great. Maybe a handful a times a year for travel. Technical or project certification a plus.
• Looking for someone who is a hybrid. Someone who can maintain organization structure and is proactive and can communication well within the team.
