Summary:
The idea Payroll Coordinator candidate will have experience with payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate employee payroll and provide efficiencies in the payroll process. In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience with ADP, Finance and Accounting and understanding of US payroll laws.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Review and audit computed wages and deductions, data imported from time and attendance systems, commission and bonus payments, and related payroll activity to insure timely and accurate payroll processing of semi-monthly cycles.
  • Manage correction of errors to ensure accurate payroll of hours worked and pay owed.
  • Review and approve payroll related journal entries and reconciliations. Provide guidance and support on accounting related items and act as the liaison with the corporate accounting team as needed.
  • Research and understand the applicability of a new rules, tax code or relevant legislation pertaining to payroll.
Education & Qualifications:
  • 2 – 5 years of payroll experience in a fast paced, high volume, multi-entity organization.
  • Knowledge of labor practices pertaining to payday law, benefits, payroll and employee taxation, payroll accounting, and employment documentation.
  • Knowledge of local and occupational tax withholding and reporting requirements.
  • Proficient using ADP Vantage for payroll and Workforce for time keeping. Knowledge of Oracle HCM and SAP preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel including advanced formula functions and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset with good judgment and high level of attention to details and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize workload of self and team members, multi-task, meet all deadlines, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
