Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with business to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Ensures strong business relationships by responding to all business requests and serving as one of the primary point of contacts from the IT side.
  • Validating the technical feasibility of the requirements and defining the solution.
  • Design and Development of adhoc analysis capabilities, dashboards and reports.
  • Provide Subject Matter expertise on Claims operational and analytical reporting systems.
  • Support management in project planning, resource planning and timeline decisions.
  • Collaborate with other Teams, Project/Program Managers to define and leverage best practices for design and development.
  • Work closely with System Integrators and performs quality review checks on all project deliverables.
  • Lead, coach and mentor junior resources of the team.
  • Involvement in sizing and reviews of the project with product vendors.
  • Supports the implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues, training as required.
  • Explore new technologies and develop required skills according to technology roadmap.
 
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in application development.
  • May require occasional traveling.
  • 8+ years of IT experience, including 6+ years in Business Intelligence having one full life cycle of the project.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience with OBIEE 11g/12c
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience with Oracle and other relational data base systems, PLSQL, relational and dimensional modeling.
  • Expert level knowledge of designing high performance visualization using Tableau.
  • Working knowledge of Informatica and Autosys/any other similar scheduling tool.
  • Knowledge on other BI tools like Business Objects or Power BI is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire claim center, Siebel data model and claim handling process will be a plus.
  • Prior experience of infrastructure sizing and reviewing vendor products will be a plus.
  • Prior experience of insurance industry will be a plus.
