Sr. Program Manager - ERP Implementation
Client is looking for a Sr. ERP Program Manager with proven experience in ERP full-lifecycle implementation. The position will be responsible for managing the implementation of our ERP Program based upon SAP S/4 HANA. The ERP Program Manager will be responsible for strategy and implementation of systems solutions that support ERP and other Systems activity for Client across all business processes, including Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. The Sr. Program Manager position will oversee multiple projects supporting ERP program, and will lead the ERP program team that includes key technical and business leaders, and will be the interface between different stakeholder groups to deliver the comprehensive, complex, and large-scale program of ERP implementation and retrofitting the technical landscape around ERP. This position will ensure the SAP S/4 projects are successfully completed within the defined scope, quality, time schedule and budget. In addition, the Program Manager will help with the continuous strategy for implementations, integration and migrations globally.
 
The Sr. Program Manager will be accountable for the planning and delivery of ERP initiative managing across all business functions to set program execution roadmap including release cadence, scoping implementation phases and deliverables, managing implementation partners, delivering regular updates to Senior Executives. The Sr. Program Manager must demonstrate core program and project management competencies, including communication, strategic alignment, resource estimates, identifying and resolving issues, and ensure team cohesion at both program and project level throughout the full implementation cycle. The candidate must be able to navigate with agility across a diverse group of business leaders, company executives, implementation partners and global functional and technical teams.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage and execute the end to end SAP S/4 Hana strategy for implementation, integration and migration. Responsible for the full life cycle of the project: initiation, resourcing, execution, monitoring, control and completion.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals and statements of work, develop project estimates, and estimate the resources needed to achieve ERP implementation success and ongoing support goals.
  • Drive all phases of the functional/technical implementation of the project from the planning to post go-live, ensuring the accomplishment of  desired scope, timeline and quality.
  • Collaborate with other project managers to plan scope, schedule, risk, stakeholder management, cross team collaboration and the  synchronization of effort across all other applications to drive project outcomes.
  • Maintain plans and report program status dashboards and provide regular monthly executive program status updates at Executive Steering Committee levels including feedback from internal users and customers to continuously identify improvement opportunities.
  • Drive ERP Preparation phase that includes the development of program strategy, roadmap for ERP and ecosystem, requirements gathering, scope definition and sizing, technical landscape and delivery processes, testing and training strategy
  • Monitor ERP portfolio performance, identify portfolio issues, and influence schedule changes, scope adjustments, or resource loading timeline and plan. Manage third-party vendors expeditiously to ensure proper resourcing level and expertise and perform according to SOW
  • Develop and maintain standard project documentation – project plans, agendas, action items, deliverables and ensure adherence to company Project Management Standards and Software Development Lifecycle best practices
  • Manage a high degree of change in a fast paced, complex and demanding environment. Lead project(s) ensuring adherence to the established project methodologies, standards, tools, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Leadership team and other IT resources to solve  complex problems, develop innovative solutions, remove barriers and collaborate with the sprint teams to iteratively deliver based on release plans.
Requirements
  • BS/MS Business, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • 15+ years experience in program and project management.
  • Minimum 8 years leading and delivering ERP program, preferably SAP S/4 HANA in Life Science or Medical Devices company.
  • SAP functional skills/experience. Must have minimum two full lifecycle implementation experience.
  • Knowledge of overall business applications landscape including CRM Salesforce, Data Warehouse, Master Data Management (MDM), Applications Integration, PLM/PQM.
  • Excellent knowledge in FDA regulatory and compliance, CFR, CSV, SOX, GDPA, data and security obligation for regulated industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Program and Project Management methodologies (Agile, waterfall), processes, operating mechanism, and ability to inspire and manage technical, functional project staff, business leaders, and third-party resources globally.
  • Ability to develop, manage, and mentor junior staff.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools such as Smartsheet, JIRA.
