Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with ODMs to collect and manage materials compliance documentation for AWS hardware components to meet product launch and compliance deadlines.
  • Drive completion of compliance documentation gathering, such as materials declarations and RoHS and REACH compliance certificates.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners to identify, escalate, and resolve outreach problems, such as nonresponsive suppliers.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project plans for the team to track and monitor project deliverables against committed deadlines and due dates.
  • Document review; compare data from one source to another; identify missing data elements; data entry; maintain spreadsheets.
  • Lead project planning meetings, document detailed meeting notes, and follow up with action items.
  • Build an approved materials library of critical components and AWS controlled components with regard to global material compliance.
  • Assist solutions team on AWS’ systems and tools development for global material compliance .
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years' experience in project management.
  • Previous experience working with engineering BOMs in a PLM environment.
  • Knowledgeable of RoHS and REACH compliance requirement and the CE marking requirement.
  • Proficient with Excel spreadsheets (Vlookup, PivotTables, PivotChart, etc.)
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and capable of multitasking.
 Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or Chemistry.
  • 3+ years of related work experience on global material compliance.
  • 3+ years’ experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements.
  • Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Leadership principles.
  • Customer obsession, ownership (very important!), bias for action, learn and be curious, deliver results.
