Process Engineer

Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (www.aesi.com) is looking for a Process Engineer for one of our premier clients in the Hollister, California area. This is a direct hire role with benefits and eligibility for performance bonus and/or quarterly profit sharing. 

The Process Engineer will be a part of a cross-functional team that continuously seeks to improve, develop, design and implement processes to produce products into full volume manufacturing production.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop new processes and technologies encompassing safety, cost, quality, productivity and risk mitigation
  • Work with cross-functional team to develop and lead strategic initiatives
  • Provide mentoring and technical leadership to production as well as other design and manufacturing engineers regarding:
    • Daily Quality
    • Implementation of Countermeasures
    • Implementation of Corrective Action Efforts
    • Continuous Improvement
  • Provide mentoring to other process engineers and process support team
  • Work cross-functionally with teams to establish standards, education and training
  • Actively participate in product development and design review process to help assess serviceability, test, requirements, etc.; develop investment casting, lost wax casting
  • Provide design feedback, quoting, customer feedback and delivery; design and develop new programs from start to finish
  • Work closely with customers, internal quality manager(s) and production manager(s)
  • Responsible for providing organized view of tasks and projects within teams
  • Process blend materials such as metals, ceramics, polymers, etc.; melt, pour, treat metal and ceramics

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of proven strong industry experience in engineering with process management
  • 5+ years of experience in process development, manufacturing and/or related experience
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to drive projects from conception to completion, including validation testing and budget management
  • Experience with six sigma, Toyota Production System Concepts, CPK 
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Prior industry experience in aerospace, medical device and/or other highly regulated industry is a plus
  • Strong background in materials, metals, ceramics, polymers, etc.; experience with wax moldings and/or plastic moldings
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and ability to identify and recommend best course of action
  • Self-motivated, self-governing, organized and has strong attention to details
