EG Workforce Solutions is looking for a Relining Associate in the Relining Department at a local Battle Creek Company in the Fort Custer Area.  The schedule is 8:00am - 4:30pm and the pay is $13.50/hr.

Position Summary:
The Shipping Associate I is responsible for placing goods into and removing goods from established warehouse bin locations as well as preparing goods for delivery to internal and external customers.

Essential Functions:
  • Follows all Company safety policies and procedures and works in a responsible manner so as not to create a health and safety hazard to oneself or others.
  • Follows and wears the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the area/department.

Business Operations
  • Frequently operates manual and motorized material handling equipment.
  • Picks and packs orders, according to customer specifications, based on assigned outbound delivery transfer orders.
  • Stages the load in preparation for shipment and safely moves the load onto the truck.
  • Examines the contents of the inbound shipments and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices or purchase orders to verify the accuracy of the shipment.
  • Pick-up and/or drop-off materials at a vendor and/or customer facility in Southwest Michigan.
  • Places finished goods in their designated warehouse locations.
  • Assists with inventory control and performs cycle counts, when necessary, to ensure physical inventories reconcile with the books.
  • Records the labor hours and material(s) for each job, per department procedure and requirements.
Non-Essential Functions:
  • Maintains a neat, orderly, and organized work area at all times.
  • Operates overhead cranes, as needed.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.
  • May be temporarily rotated to other positions within and outside of home department in order to meet production needs.
Job Specifications:
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum of 1-year of shipping and receiving experience is required.
  • Ability to obtain both a State of Michigan Chauffeur Driver's License and a DOT Medical Card.

  • Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of assigned work; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes, practices, tools, and equipment.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate equipment, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to talk and hear; frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, and crawl.
  • Frequently required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally subject to loud noise and, at times, noise level may require the employee to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
