EG Workforce Solutions is looking for an Administrative Assistant in the Purchasing Department at a local Battle Creek Company in the Fort Custer Area.  The schedule is 8:00am - 4:30pm and the pay is $13.50/hr.

Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support services for the related hiring department, as well as, internal and external customers. In this role, the Administrative Assistant will answer inquiries, process clerical data and obtain information for internal and external departments, customers, visitors, and other interested parties. This position is an internal support position that can serve as the first-line professional face and voice of the organization.

Business Operations
  • Performs any combination of entry-level clerical duties requiring general knowledge and application of various work methods and procedures.
  • Processes and accurately record business transactions using an automated system.
  • Input vouchers, invoices, account information, reports, purchase orders, customer/vendor data and other records.
  • Matches supporting documentation and files appropriately
  • Communicates with others departments in order to obtain information and/or documents needed for processing data
  • Verifies the validity of discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from internal and external departments.
  • Maintains historical data by archiving and filing documents.
  • Compile and prepare a variety of reports.
  • Provide Front line customer service via telephone answering or front desk greeting.
  • Prepares and mails documents as necessary.
  • Support/Assist departmental personnel with other departmental functions as required.
Non-Essential Functions:
  • Maintains a neat, orderly, and organized work area at all times.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.
  • May be temporarily rotated to other positions within and outside of home department in order to meet production needs.
Job Specifications:
Education & Experience
  • Associate's Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-years of experience within an administrative support role is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of assigned work.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality in daily contact with sensitive business intelligence, financial, and protected health information is required.
  • Strong organizational skills including effective archival abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit a positive personal image when dealing with the public and internal and external customers, and the community.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.
  • Positive, collaborative, and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated positive customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate equipment, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to talk and hear; frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, and crawl.
  • Occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally subject to loud noise and at times noise level may require the employee to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
