Position Description

LOCATION:                         Lansing, MI or Assigned Customer Site  
REPORTS TO:                      Director of Operations, Staffing Services               
FLSA STATUS:                     Non-Exempt
The Service Coordinator provides office support including but not limited to greeting applicants, answering phones, updating applicant contact information, conducting social security verifications/background checks (as required), conducting drug screens, performing applicant intake, reviewing and completing all required pre-employment paperwork, accurately maintaining data in computer systems (JobDiva &
iSolved), processing daily mail, ordering office supplies, maintaining the overall appearance of the lobby and interview rooms and helping to conduct orientations.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for applicants and visitors.
  • Projects a friendly point of contact with EG at all times even during times of high activity.
  • Maintains a multi-line phone system, directs all calls and routes messages in a timely manner.
  • Verifies and updates applicant contact information in the computer.
  • Reviews applicants' paperwork (when required).
  • Conducts and documents ICHAT background checks (if applicable).
  • Processes mail, reports, supply inventory, and filing.
  • Rates industrial evaluations (when applicable).
  • Maintains the overall appearance of the lobby and interview rooms.
  • Performs Social Security verifications.
  • Conducts applicant intake screenings (e.g., clerical and industrial tests)
  • Analyzes applicant responses to determine job-specific skills
  • Verifies and documents applicant data in the computer
  • Reviews pre-employment background information (if applicable)
  • Assists with Field Associate orientations.  
  • Reviews and completes all required pre-employment paperwork
  • Performs drug screens
  • Assists internal staff members, as needed
  • May perform other duties as assigned. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Prior experience with customer service positions.
  • Bilingual abilities preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of clerical and factory terminology for positions within a variety of industries.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers. 
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, adapt to changing customer needs and
  • Attention to detail with strong organization / follow-up skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and software applications (e.g., Microsoft suite of products, ATS systems, etc.).
  • Proven ability to work in a team.
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws.
  • Typical office environment
  • Ability to carry boxes of recruiting materials of up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to perform work on a computer while maintaining accuracy for hours at a time.
  • Ability to travel.
