The client is a supply chain management and electronic manufacturing partner providing customers with intelligently designed global supply chains and product development in the healthcare, aerospace, industrial, cleantech, storage, telecommunications and consumer industries.
The lead IoT systems engineer will be responsible for guiding the technical direction for the implementation of a wide-reaching IoT program at Jabil. The right candidate will have extensive experience integrating and designing large, distributed, and complex systems. Additionally, knowledge of embedded systems, microcontroller development, networking protocols, and basic understanding of hardware engineering is also required. In this position, you will be tasked with creating unique IoT based solutions using a combination of off the- shelf and in-house hardware and software to connect sensors and machines on the shop floor to on-premise and cloud based applications for integration and analytic purposes.

· Evaluate new technologies that may be beneficial to current and upcoming projects
· Analyze resource constraints and overhead of various architectural designs and data acquisition methods
· Provide technical advice, code reviews and thought leadership to other developers.
· Understand the business needs and objectives. Able to communicate how IoT can transform the business. Can leverage understanding of business strategy and align the technical direction to the business drivers.
· Drive the creation of an IoT architecture that aligns with the overall business strategy, technology roadmap, and includes requirements, standards, and governance.
· Think in terms of high level systems and understand be able to orchestrate how the IoT edge, platform and operational systems work together to form a cohesive set of capabilities.
· Establish tools, processes and procedures to ensure smooth IoT system operation. Able to integrate IoT with key business and IT systems and practices.
· Create system of continuous improvement and evolution. Takes advantage of rapidly evolving IoT technology, vendors and ecosystems.
· Strong polyglot development experience
· Exposure to functional programming languages, SOA, microservices, and/or cloud first applications with a strong understanding of asynchronous and event driven programming paradigms
· Experience with one or more Platform-as-a-Service offerings with IIoT capabilities (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, Bluemix, Predix, Thingworx, or others)
