The position is for an administrative assistant that will support the Structural and Environmental Laboratory within the Mechanical Engineering Department.
The applicant will be responsible for performing daily office duties that provide lab personnel and our internal customers with logistics and coordination of company and overhead projects that are performed in the test lab facility.
• Perform chemical management: File documentation through ESH; Procure chemicals, tag, label, and log into red-book/stockroom; File chemical disposition paperwork for chemical disposal. • Overhead budget: Maintain log of overhead expenditures; Generate monthly consumable lists; Organize monthly meetings with area supervisors to prioritize spending. • Training/Labor Charging Compliance Assistance: Oversee lab personnel training plans, coordinate Medical physical and hearing exams, and coordinate offsite training requirements; Input absent employee times and process labor cost transfers. • Facility/Maintenance Coordinator: Input cleaning schedules for all common areas of the lab; Submit Maintenance work orders for equipment and facility needs. • Additional Administrative Work: Review/Process/Archive all new work requests; Answer incoming phone calls and page appropriate personnel; Maintain lab roster and weekly security monitor; Maintain scheduled maintenance on lab vehicles and pallet stackers. • Good communication skills and fluency with computers and Microsoft Word are mandatory. • Education requires a high school diploma and a minimum of three years of experience in office environment. • Manage movement of materials through shipping department and mail room.
• Microsoft Office Experience (Excel and Access).
• Good Telephone Skills.
• Excellent Computer Skills.
• Required to Possess an ATF Explosive Possessor License.
• Required to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
