Security Administrator - Non Exempt

Job Description:
  • Responsible for the development, maintenance and IT security area across a client-specific environment.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of security procedures.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and tracking of security relevant events.
  • Enforces security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions, updates and maintains the documented security controls.
  • Oversees tests internally and with vendors to evaluate the adequacy of network and system controls and identify vulnerabilities at both the infrastructure AND application levels.
  • Responsible for Vulnerability Management - Prioritize identified application and infrastructure vulnerabilities and oversee timely remediation and threat monitoring.
  • Review and analyze intrusion attempts.
  • Coordinates with the corporate enterprise program
  • Highly technical, especially as regards information security technologies and controls.
  • Strong experience in analyzing and prioritizing threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Demonstrate organization, facilitation, writing, documentation, communication.
  • Must be an intelligent, highly organized, articulate, professional who can serve as an effective member of the Information Security Team, and who is able to communicate information security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
  • Responsible for monitoring servers for hardware break-fix and coordinating problems with centralized help desk.

  • CISSP Certification or equivalent desirable and 5+ Years relevant work experience required.
  • Experience working with NIST 800-53 and FISMA control requirements is desired.
  • Working knowledge of Splunk, Security Center, DbProtect, AppDetective and Windows/Linux security administration is required.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Financial experience not a must.
  • Degree required/type:BS in computer science or cyber security desired.
  • Security analysis, vulnerability remediation, follow-up and time management.
