Job Description:
  • The Sr QA Analyst is responsible for definition, planning and execution of testing efforts and also may supervise and provide technical guidance to assigned project teams.
  • This role reports directly to the QA Lead and analyzes systems requirements, develops test plans and creates test scripts.
  • The Analyst participates in and/or conducts QA Reviews and performs testing activities based upon test plans and scripts.
  • Additionally, in this role, the successful the incumbent identifies and documents software and systems defects and supports product migrations through all systems environments while providing support to technical and managerial staff with regard to QA activities.
  • It may interact directly with clients regarding project activities.
  • This role is also responsible designing a performance test plan and executing this plan in accordance to well defined deliverables.

  • Requires specific knowledge of QA testing, change management and test case generation techniques.
  • Strong planning and project organization skills, negotiation, decision making, problem solving, influencing skills.
  • Strong judgment and leadership skills, Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in high pressure, high volume environment.
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office applications and PC proficiency in Windows-based programs.
  • Ability to define process and strategy for performance testing is highly preferred.
  • Experience as a performance tester, predominately performance testing data intensive web applications (including web services) is a major plus.
  • 5-7 years of relevant testing experience required.
  • Ability to understand functional requirements for web based applications (built using WebCenter Suite) and Oracle databases.
  • Ability to create/identify test scenarios from functional requirements.
  • Ability to create test scripts from the test scenarios.
  • Testing and logging defects using ALM and/or JIRA.
  • Ability to communicate technically as a tester with development teams and Business Analyst.
  • At least one of the candidates must have mainframe testing experience.
  • Ability to write and communicate accurately and effectively in English.
